Since I’m still relatively new here (been couple of times), this post will be slightly different to the others. We will focus on main areas of activity and then drill down to each specific one. The Top 10 will follow once I can provide a well researched and experienced guide.
Algarve offers visitors a variable landscape, stunning coastline with unique beaches, a wonderful climate and, what’s essential, plenty of things to do and experience.
For those who like to get a bit more active on their holiday in Algarve, there are plenty of places to try all different kinds of sporting activities. Golf is certainly the Algarve’s forté.
The Algarve is renowned as one of the best golf destinations in the world, with golfers of all nationalities coming to enjoy a game in the coastline. There are plenty of finest golf courses nearby Loulé.

- Laguna Golf Course, Vilamoura
This 18 hole course stands out in the area as being one of the most challenging golf course in Algarve. There are several lakes along the course and a rather high number of bunkers.

- Monte Rei Golf Course, Vila Nova de Cacela

If you’re a football fan, then in addition to the national championships you must make sure not to miss the Algarve Cup. Every winter this women’s championship brings together the world’s top national teams.
